A medical advisor to Fitness Institute International and assistant instructor for the “Nutrition Education & Weight Management” course and the Special Population/Post Rehabilitation course. Assistant Medical Director of Emergency Medicine and Chairman of the Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee at Bethesda Memorial Hospital, Boynton Beach, Florida. Through the Institute for Healthy Aging, a consultant to both patients and physicians in hormone replacement therapy, anti-aging medicine, preventive medicine and natural weight reduction. Serves as Chief Science Officer and Director of Research & Development for a web-based supplement company.
Professional Experience
Has been a staff emergency physician for five different hospitals within the Washington, DC area as well as emergency physician and associate director of emergency departments for two hospitals in South Florida. Since 2000, has specialized in preventing and reversing the deterioration of both mind & body associated with the aging process. Provides an aggressive course of action that transcends traditional medicine by attacking age-related disease before it attacks the individual. Has practiced this type of progressive age management through comprehensive hormonal evaluation, bio-identical hormone replacement, dietary assessment, weight management, herbal supplementation, cardiac stress testing and personalized exercise prescription.
Awards/Committees
Outstanding Senior Resident Award for residency practice & teaching, Brook Army Medical Center. Army Commendation Medal for outstanding performance at Fox Army Community Hospital and Certificate of Achievement Award for ‘Performance Above & Beyond the Call of Duty’ during Alabama tornado disaster. In addition to having been a former nationally competitive gymnast, was an Honor graduate & the 1999 valedictorian of Fitness Institute International. Certified by the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA) for which he now serves as a medical advisor.
Publications/Presentations
Wrote a number of articles for the Journal of Physiology and Behavior as well as authored a manual on Toxicology. With a commitment to sharing his knowledge and expertise with others, conducts numerous worldwide speaking engagements on Healthy Aging Medicine and makes frequent guest appearances on local South Florida radio stations and television programs.
